We were lucky enough to get a second trip to the beach this summer. We went back to 30A with Patrick's family at the end of July. The boys were excited and we were glad Daddy was going with us this time! Our car was packed to the brim and we had headphones for the first time.
Uncle Harry and Aunt Beth came down on the second day to visit. We got family pictures on the beach before they left.
Then we headed to Seaside for dinner. The boys loved walking around while we waited.
We had amazing weather and played on the beach every day.
Papa made homemade peach ice cream one afternoon. The boys helped and it was delicious!
The boys loved snuggling up with Papa to watch nursery rhymes or tractor videos on his "p-pad" as Henry calls it.
The guys played golf one morning, so I took the boys to the outlet mall. Thomas has been begging for bright colored shoes for months. He came home one day last spring and told me that his gray New Balances were "boring" and he wanted new shoes. Ha! I told him we would get new shoes for school, so here they are.... He was so proud! I was proud too because they could have been much worse.
All smiles!
We went down to The Hub on our last night. It was such a cool venue and we could have stayed there all night. The boys loved running around listening to the band play.
So much attitude right there....
Henry met the girl version of himself. They were so cute running, playing and sitting together with their pacis and blond curls.
A final family picture watching our last beach sunset. The beach is my happy place and I'm so grateful that my boys love it as much as I do. We had a wonderful trip and it was a good end to the summer. School starting will be up next!
