The summer days have been so fun...exploring all things outside and water. The early part of the summer was pleasant and the last part has been so hot, you must be in water to be outside.
We pulled the sprinkler out early in the summer. Henry thought it was so funny to watch Thomas run through the water. I moved the sprinkler around to water the flowers at the same time!
We went to the CMOM splash park one day. They added a giant sand box right off to the side and my boys were in heaven. They went back and forth all afternoon.
I took the boys to see Finding Dory. This was Henry's first movie. He did pretty well considering it was an extra long movie. The giant bucket of popcorn that we shared helped too. He talked throughout the whole movie. After we left, he kept saying "Dory find Mama Dada!" He was glad for a happy ending.
One morning, we all loaded up and went to the Zoo with the Stines and Harrises. The new Zambezi River exhibit is open and it was amazing. The hippo put on a show for the kids that they will not forget. When you ask Henry what a hippo says, he stands there with his mouth open wide.
The marriage has been arranged for when they are older....we hope they agree!
We let the older boys play in the geysers before lunch to cool off. They had a blast!
Henry is Mr. Personality. He loves to dress up. He loves to play music. He will make a drum out of anything...a box, table, basket, or even Thomas's head. Thomas got Lincoln logs for his birthday and Henry thinks they make the best drum sticks.
LuLu had knee replacement surgery in the middle of June so we have spent lots of time over there helping her. Henry loves playing with the remote control truck she has.
Pool days...we have logged in so many hours here. Both boys have become very good swimmers.
Mimi has kept Henry on Thursdays this summer and picked up Thomas from camp in the afternoon. They love their time with Mimi.
One week, Thomas did a basketball camp. He was so excited because he really likes basketball. He had a great time.
We spent 2 weekends at the lake and the boys had a great time. Thomas has learned how to drive the boat and Henry just likes to push the horn.
It's hard to be two and not get your way.
We love our BooBoo!
Patrick started teaching Thomas how to play chess. He was surprised at how well he caught on.
BooBoo left to go back to school and we were all sad. We get spoiled having her home for the summer. We miss her already!
Evenings practicing golf...all of the boys now! Thomas starts golf lessons next week. He is very excited.
We have some of the best babysitters. Lizzie took Thomas to the zoo one afternoon last week while Henry was sick. He had a great time!
Henry and I had a special date while Thomas was home sick. We rode the carousel 3 times and then we found the train. This little boy was in heaven!
Earlier in the summer, I got the paintings of the boys from Marc Shea. Aren't they amazing? I am going to hand them in the dining room once I find the perfect frames. I could not be more pleased with these two portraits. Marc is my dad's second cousin so it makes it even more special.
