Christmas Recap

Junior Cotillion was Sunday night. Cannot believe this is Lisa's Senior year. She looked so pretty!

Father-Daughter Dance. This is my Dad's 6th time to dance this dance!

We had a busy Christmas Eve. Lots of last minute things to do before Christmas day. Thomas and I started out at Kroger at 7:15...had to pick up some things so we could make cookies for Santa. Someone had a lot of fun making a mess and snacking on the sweets!

Waiting for our cookies to bake!

We went to Christmas Even candlelight service at church, headed over to my Aunt Nelse's house for a quick hello and then came home to wait for Santa's visit. Santa sure did know exactly what Thomas wanted for Christmas. He set up the train table downstairs for Christmas morning, so Thomas could play. It will have a permanent home upstairs!

Look at this face when he figures out what Santa has brought. He was so excited, even though it was 5:30 in the morning!

We played with our train for a while until we packed up and headed to Tino and Mimi's. Poor Thomas had a major meltdown when I disassembled his train to take it with us. I think he thought I was taking it away from him. Couldn't leave behind his prized train after he just got it! We set it up again once we got to Tino and Mimi's.

Thomas was excited about riding his reindeer on a stick. It played Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer when he squeezed his ear.

Trying on his new rainboots. You can see the matching raincoat below. Such a cute little frog!

Taking a rest from opening presents to sit on his new "Thomas" step stool.

After an extra long nap, we headed to Aunt Ole's for Christmas lunch. Thomas wanted Mimi to read him his new book about Santa.

Thomas wanted to use a TV tray like some of the other people. Big boy!

Of course we brought the train set to Aunt Ole's as well. After lunch, we set it up and he played for almost an hour. He is so funny because he doesn't want you to touch his train unless you ask his permission first or if he asks for your help. OCD - Only child disorder. Poor kid, he can't help it!

Loves his train!

A Georgia Christmas

The saying goes, "a picture is worth a thousand words." In this case, that is so true. We had a wonderful trip to Georgia to celebrate before Christmas. The pictures will speak for themselves...this was one happy little boy!

Papa bought a Christmas train. Thomas loved to watch it go around and around the tree.

We had to break out the train he could touch and keep it close by.

Uncle Brian score MAJOR bonus points this trip. He took Thomas to see the neighs, tractor and even ride in the jeep. Then he helped Thomas put together his trains. Friends for life!

Papa bought Thomas a little saddle for when he is old enough to ride the ponies. In the meantime, the saddle sits on this make-believe horse!

Getty up!

Stop the camera, Mama! Its time to go see the neighs!

All bundled up!

Riding the jeep to go see the neighs.

Off to find the horses....

Papa stole Thomas's Elmo guitar and was serenading us from the tractor!

Stop it! Is this my one year old or four year old. I can't stand how big he looks!

Opening some presents....our farm playmat and animals.

Give me that Elmo guitar NOW, "pease!" Thomas would unwrap a gift and immediately scream "op." He loves to play the guitar at music class. Now he has one of his very own.

Mighty Machines DVD's!

Let the mayhem begin...

My little conductor!

Mama looks silly in that hat!

We love some choo-choo's!

Thomas has his very own leather chair...just like his Dada.

Two peas in a pod. I think they could watch that train go by all night long. Thomas sure does love his Nana and Papa, and boy do they love him!
