Henry is 10 months now, and it is really hard to believe. It seems like just yesterday he was born! He is learning more every day...yesterday he said his first words, "bye, bye, DaDa." as Patrick and Thomas were walking out the door to go to work and school. I have been trying to get him to say words forever and then he finally copied what I said.
He loves food...can you tell? His favorites are crackers, cheese, carrots, green beans, broccoli, bread, puffs, rice, and his most favorite is soup...any kind, this kid LOVES it! The only thing he has absolutely refused to eat so far is peas...I don't blame him!
He can pull up to stand and is starting to balance by himself. He can walk around holding on to something but still needs to flatten out those feet before he will be "cruising." He has no fear and I can already tell he will be my daredevil.
Last night we got the most amazing snow fall I have ever seen in Memphis. There was about an inch of ice and over 5 inches of powdery snow. Thomas was in complete awe when he woke up! We played in the snow with our neighbor Sam in the morning. The snow was so powdery that you couldn't even make a snowman because it wouldn't stick together.
By the afternoon, the sun had come out and melted a little bit of the power so the snow was perfect for snowballs and snowmen! Mimi and Tino came over to eat lunch and play in the snow. We decided to let Henry see what all of the fuss was about. He was not happy about the layers but he sure did look cute. The bright sun reflecting on the snow was almost blinding so we put his sunglasses on. Never before would he wear them, but he realized they helped with the brightness and didn't put up a fight.
Of course, we had to use our dump truck to haul around the snow.
I let Henry touch the snow and he didn't really like it. He was trying very hard to figure out what it was all about.
All hands on deck to build the snowman.
Tasting the snow.
Finished snowman!
We made snow cream for dessert tonight, and Thomas thought it was so fun to make ice cream out of snow! Overall today was such a fun day. The sun and snow were a great combination and made it so much fun to be outside. Thomas soaked up all of the fun that the snow brings and he is already looking forward to playing again tomorrow!
