Like any good Southern family, we have been counting down the days until football season started. Thomas has been so excited to watch Georgia play football. He really pays attention to the game...where the ball is, who falls down and who throws the ball. His comments about the game are very entertaining.
We also have a new set of game day clothes this year...less of the baby kind (ie: no smocked bubbles) and more of the big boy kind, like Daddy. This week, he wore his white polo with the "G" on it and his very own Georgia jersey. Number 14 was David Green, the quarterback, when we were in college. He loved wearing the same thing as the football players.
Last week, it was our red polo with the big "G" just like Papa was wearing. That smiles says it all...excited about some football!!
When Thomas saw the UT game on TV earlier this afternoon, he emphatically yelled, "I don't like orange!" Patrick changed over to the Florida game and he screamed again, "I no like orange. I like red." Proud Mama and Daddy moment.....we have taught him well!
Taking a break from the game to play with our new firetruck from the Disney Store. He loves the movie Cars, so he got the firetruck for being a good boy.
Happy face after our win over South Carolina. He told "Mr. Waston" (known to most as Watson) at Sunday School last weekend that Georgia had won their game...part true on his part because Georgia was winning when Thomas went to bed. :(
Tomorrow, he will be excited to tell Mr. Waston that Georgia actually did win this week....and won a big game!
Thomas's teachers at Emmanuel are so cute about updating their web page with pictures and stories. Here are some of the cute ones from last week. I love the picture of all of them napping. Thomas is wiped out after playing so hard. He loves, loves, loves school. We saw some of his teachers on Friday night at Swanky's and he was so excited to run over and say hi.
We went to the Zoo early this morning to enjoy the beautiful weather. Thomas had a great time pretending to be a giraffe....cutest little giraffe I know!
The sea lions are always my favorite to see. Thomas and I curled up in the bubble to watch them swim up close.
