Football and Fall in the Air

The countdown has been on in our house for a few weeks until the first game of the season for UGA. Thomas was excited about watching the game last weekend. Even if we can't be in Athens for the game, we still wear our UGA gear!

Last weekend, the game was during lunchtime. For a treat, and so we didn't have to miss a single play, we moved Thomas's table and chair in front of the TV. He took it all in!

This weekend was UGA's first SEC game against Missouri...lots of smack talk from the other team, but the Bulldawgs pulled out a win. This little guy was cheering them on for the first half! He can now say "Gooo Daw"....it will have to do for now. By the end of the season, I bet we have the whole cheer down.

He looks so much like Patrick to me in this picture. Growing up too fast!

Saturday was a glorious fall day - the first fall weather we have had this year. What a better way to enjoy the weather than a trip to the zoo? Thomas spent Friday night with Tino and Mimi because we went to a wedding party for Helen and Alex. We picked him up, stopped by Chick-fil-A and headed to the zoo. Thomas didn't quite understand why he couldn't crawl into the cages with the animals.

We got there in time for the Sea Lion show...this is one of my favorite parts of the zoo.

On our way out, we stopped by the carousel next to the pandas. Thomas has never been on a "ride" before and he was very skeptical. He had a death-grip on me or the pole the entire time!

Our friend, Charlie, came over to play for a little bit the other day. They were very energetic when you put them together. We were able to catch a few moments of calm while Elmo was on the TV. It was a little past Thomas's bedtime in this picture, so he looks like he is in a trance.

Showing off our new shoes for fall. This little toes where over the front of his sandals, so we had to get some bigger shoes!

A few more pictures from our "boon" obsession. These balloons lasted for at least 5 days. Apparently, Thomas thinks they make a very nice pillow!
