Thomas baptized a few weeks ago at Second Presbyterian Church. Friends and family from near and far was present for this special event. We feel so blessed to have so many wonderful people that will be apart of Thomas's life as he grows up. All of these people were present on the day when we entered into a covenant promise with the Lord to grant the benefits signified by Baptism to all who exercise faith in the redemptive work of Christ alone. As his parents, we are devoted to guiding Thomas in his walk with the Lord.
Thomas wore a dress that has been in my dad's family for many generations on the Shea side. It was remade with the same lace because the original dress was literally crumbling from age. Sweet Thomas was so good as we dressed him in this large gown. Not his normal attire, I assure you!
The Walkers made the drive all of the way from Georgia. Grandmother was able to come too. We are so thankful that they were able to be there!
Look at this precious face! Sometimes I cannot believe that God would bless me with such a sweet angel!

The Thompson family - Ann flew in just for the Baptism. Isn't that so special?? We loved having her home. Its hard not seeing her so often!
Thomas and his aunts! Lovingly called Aunt Big Boo Boo and Aunt Sugar.
Thomas was baptized by Andy Wells. Andy is the minister to the Senior Adults at our church. He was such a blessing to our family when Mama Dot was sick. He was always checking on her, visiting with her and most of all praying for her and our family. There are some days that I don't think we would have survived without him. There is an EXTRA special place in heaven for his man. He is truly one of God's angels. We love that he was able to baptize Thomas - the newest generation!

We had brunch with our friends and family afterwards at the Memphis Country Club. Here is the guest of honor!

Thomas got to meet some of his great, great Aunts and Uncles.
Dorothy was sick, so Lisa couldn't come. James and Caroline were still sweet enough to join us. It still amazes me how big she is getting!

Thomas and LuLu!
DeeDee and John Eric came in town for the baptism. We loved getting to see them, even if just for a little while. We don't ever get to see them enough!
Thomas and LuLu!
Thank you to all who came. We apologize for the parting gift we gave you. I won't speak of the details, but everyone there understands! Love you all!!
