On April 30th, Henry turned one! Look at the happy boy the morning of his birthday.
Sweet brothers.
The last of the monthly pictures in the blue chair. He is so big! We went to the doctor last week because I thought he had an ear infection. He weighed 24.5 lbs. He gained 2 pounds in 3 weeks!
Look at that smile!
Moving around everywhere. He gets into anything and everything. I can't leave one thing out or he will find it.
Checking out that good-looking one year old in the mirror...and standing all by himself. He is so close to walking.
And that belly...
The sticker wasn't long for the world.
Mimi and Tino came over for a birthday dinner and Henry was so tired he could hardly eat his cupcake.
On Saturday, we had Henry's birthday party.
Nana, Papa, Grandmother and Lindsey all came in town to help us celebrate.
Henry loves his new pool of balls.
Henry was lucky enough to have 3 baby girls at his party that are close to his age. The odds are in his favor!
The theme of the party was "Oh the Places You Can Go." If you have not read this book before, you should. It is a great book for parents because it summarizes all of the hopes and dreams we have for children.
Some more cute bundles in the basket!
Helene made some cute cookies for the party. She is so talented!
Sweet friends and precious Mary Clayton.
The birthday bear entertained the babies.
DeeDee and Jane came to town to celebrate with us. Love this two so much and I am so grateful to have such a dear friend like DeeDee.
Mrs. Laughlin came to celebrate too!
Hutch Class of 2001 Mamas and babies.
The party was in the afternoon so we had to watch the Kentucky Derby too. We had a betting pool and mint juleps for the adults to enjoy. These two boys really got into watching the horses race.
Everyone watching the Derby.
After a BBQ dinner, we had some cupcakes and ice cream. Henry was really excited for his giant cupcake this time.
And the icing went straight to the hair. He was covered in icing!
Lindsey was so sweet to come to Memphis even though Brian had to stay in Atlanta to study. She was such a big help getting ready for the party and cleaning up. Best of all, this little guy had the most fun playing with her. Can't you tell from that big smile on his face?
This little snuggle bunny loved spending time with Lindsey too!
Big smiles with Grandmother. Henry is showing off his new hat she gave him for this summer. He is so funny and loves to wear hats and sunglasses. We are so thankful for all of our sweet friends and family who helped us celebrate our little Henry.
