Thomas and I snuck away for a little while last week with Tino, Mimi and BooBoo to Watercolor for Fall Break. October is my favorite time at the beach! Too much going on right now that we are home for a full recap, so here is a quick glimpse at our "escape."
We played and played on the beach. Built sandcastles and knocked them down, dove head first into the waves again and again - Thomas has no fear of the ocean now, blew bubbles and tried to make friends with all of the other kiddos on the beach.
Playing at the beach is hard work. Thomas loved riding in the carrier on the back of the bike. He would wave to people as we passed, ate his snacks and juice and played with his toys, and as you can see here, caught a few extra zzzz's.
Great escape to the beach minus sickness that landed both Thomas and me in the Urgent Care bright and early on Sunday morning. Guess that's just life with kiddos!
On a sad note, Patrick's uncle Aubrey passed away this week after a battle with cancer and congestive heart failure. Please say a quick prayer for the family as they grieve this loss. Thomas is named after Patrick's grandfather, but Aubrey's full name was Thomas Aubrey. He was so thrilled when Thomas was born and we chose to use that name.
